The core of any barcode labeling solution is the software itself. Without it, labeling would be a messy, manual process with many opportunities for errors. Companies in many different industries use barcode label software to design and print their labels efficiently and accurately.
You've probably already experienced it: the frustration of printing a label that just doesn't look the way it should. Why can't things just work?! If your barcode labeling software has embedded printer drivers, the labels will print exactly as you see them on your computer screen.
TEKLYNX has developed over 3,000 native label printer drivers to provide the best overall quality for your barcode labeling needs.
What is a printer driver? A printer driver is the translator between your barcode labeling software and your printer. Our development teams across the globe work closely with printer manufacturers to develop high quality drivers that optimize printer performance.
That's why one of North America's largest manufacturers of plastic tubing used TEKLYNX to reduce label printing errors by 50%. Read the case study.

The idea of barcodes was invented by a man named Joe Woodland. He learned Morse code in the boy scouts and thought he could apply something similar to help grocers control inventory. While Joe was sitting in the sand of Miami Beach in January of 1949, it happened. "I remember I was thinking about dots and dashes when I poked my four fingers into the sand and, for whatever reason, I pulled my hand toward me and I had four lines. I said 'Golly! Now I have four lines and they could be wide lines and narrow lines, instead of dots and dashes. Now I have a better chance of finding the doggone thing.'", said Joe, according to the Smithsonian.
