Creating new label designs in CODESOFT Enterprise RFID is easy, thanks to an easy-to-use interface and helpful wizards.

To get started, we’ll start by using the new label document wizard that appears automatically when the software is launched. Begin by clicking create new label format. Then, select the printer you would like to use with this label design. Then, choose which label stock you’d like to use. For this example, I’m going to use a pre-existing 4x6 inch label stock that I created earlier. Then, click finish. The label is now configured and ready for design.

Now say for instance, I need to create a product label for a children’s toy Jeep. I’ll get started by adding text to the label. To do this, click text generation, and choose a location on the label in which to place the text. In the wizard that appears, simply enter the text you wish you have on your label and then click finish. Now that our text has been added to the label, we can click and drag to choose a specific location for the text.

Now, I’d like to add a barcode to my product label, so it can be easily identified and tracked. To do this, I’ll click the barcode generation button, and once again, choose a location for the barcode to be placed. And in the wizard that appears, choose not only the symbology that I would like to use, but also enter the specific barcode data that I would like to have encoded into the barcode. Then, click finish. Once again, with a barcode on the label, we can click and drag to resize and position the barcode.

Next, I’d like to add an image of my product to the label. To do this, I’ll click the add image button. Again, choose a location on the label, and in the wizard that appears, simply click the thumbnail image of the image I would like to add. Then, click finish. And just like before, click and drag to position and resize the image.

As a final step, I’d like to add a border to my label to really pull things together. To do this, I’ll click the add rectangle button. Click and drag to add a rectangle border around my label.

And just like that, we have a new product label for a children’s toy Jeep.
