    The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has made it mandatory for all federal contractors to apply Unique Identifier (UID) marking on government-provided military and non-military equipment, in an effort to improve asset management. The UID markings uniquely identify property, plants, equipment, operating materials and supplies. TEKLYNX software allows you to design and print UID labels that are compliant with the Military (MIL) Specifications:

    • MIL-STD-130L – Identification Marking of U.S. Military Property
    • MIL-STD-130M – Identification Marking of U.S. Military Property
    • MIL-STD-129P –- Military Shipping Label
    • DD Form 1387 –- Military Shipment Label
    • DD Form 1348-1A – Release/Receipt Document

    Label templates are available in all three brands of TEKLYNX software, and are used for basic item identification marking provided by the U.S. Department of Defense and include the UID bar code.
