Nutrition Facts Labeling

On May 20th, 2016 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finalized a new Nutrition Facts label for packaged foods. As the current label is more than 20 years old, the new label format will provide consumers accurate and update dietary recommendations based on scientific information and public health

These changes will happen on January 1, 2020 for manufacturers with more than $10 million in annual food sales and for those who make less than $10 million in annual food sales will have to comply by January 1, 2021.

To make these changes easier for you and your company, TEKLYNX created a new eBook, Get the Facts on the New FDA Nutrition Facts Label. This eBook will highlight all of the new label changes to the US FDA's Nutrition Facts label. You can also expect to learn:

  • Nutrition Facts label comparisons
  • Key changes to serving size
  • Standard, dual column, and tabular labels
  • and more
