Channel Development Manager

The Channel Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day strategic and relationship support of TEKLYNX label design business partners (resellers) and will serve as their primary point of contact. It’s the responsibility of the Channel Development Manager to make sure he/she understands the business partners’ overall business  including, but not limited to: their go-to-market strategy (as well as size of sales and marketing teams), how TEKLYNX fits into this strategy, what % of their revenue is related to sale of TEKLYNX products, and growth strategy. This individual will proactively communicate TEKLYNX business strategy and product roadmap in the label design space to each of the business partners to ensure understanding and support of TEKLYNX business strategy while accepting the ever-changing and fast paced scope of the software business.

The Channel Development Manager is responsible for managing and growing TEKLYNX label design business, a business that makes up 80% of TEKLYNX revenue, by creating new and expanding existing relationships with our business partners; it is his/her responsibility to develop each reseller into an extension of the TEKLYNX sales and marketing team. Also, this position works directly with the Business Development Representatives to understand the lead qualification, distribution and follow-up processes to ensure resellers are fulfilling their lead commitments/expectations. The Channel Development Manager will work closely with Operations and our Business Analyst to identify and resolve gaps in process. This is a strategic sales and relationship management position that requires big picture, critical thinking with the ability to build and optimize business plans. It is the responsibility of the Channel Development Manager to ensure partners have the appropriate knowledge and training of TEKLYNX solutions and remains active to ensure product launches; updates, process changes, etc are communicated timely and effectively. Customer focus, the ability to influence others and business acumen are required competencies.

The Channel Development Manager must possess excellent communication skills, time management and interpersonal skills and proven sales experience. Must be able to strategically build and maintain relationships while being the day-to-day point of contact for each reseller. Excellent leadership and the intuition to make critical business decisions is also a must. Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a background in sales and marketing or account management. 2-5 years Account Management and/or Relationship Management is preferred or equivalent work experience of 10-15 years.
