Objective/Requirements:
A printing company required an application that would automatically add pallet weights to labels that would be applied at the time of weighing. It required the system to obtain item/pallet information from an optical scanner as the pallet moved down a conveyer line and also to store the information number until the pallet is weighed. This would allow the printing company to combine the scanned number and the weight of the pallet onto a new label and automatically print the label once the pallet is weighed.
Solution:
TEKLYNX Professional Services developed a LABELVIEW label design software application that met the customer’s needs. The system receives information from a scanner on the conveyor line. Multiple pallets can be scanned to queue up multiple jobs and the LABELVIEW system stores the jobs in the order they are scanned. When the pallet moves onto a weight scale, a label is placed onto the pallet that consists of the scanned pallet number from the optical scanner and the weight which is electronically added to the database by the scale.

- Captures database entry that includes weight
