In some cases, users may be required purchase an Upgrade from an authorized TEKLYNX Reseller before completing the Key Upgrade procedure outlined below to obtain an Autorization Code.
The Key Upgrade Program is used to facilitate the final step in the process of upgrading TEKLYNX Software. With this tool, your hardware key can be easily upgraded out in the field. This saves you shipping and RMA's required in the past. Please download the upgrade executable file and follow the process described below:
Run the Upgrade.exe on the PC where the hardware key is located. Make note of the 24-digit Key Code that results from running the utility.
Note: If you get an error message that says "Could not find the key. Check that your key is correctly connected to the parallel or USB port." You must upgrade your HASP drivers before upgrading your key.
E-mail the Key Code and Authorization Code (on the Key Upgrade sheet provided in your product package) to TEKLYNX Customer Service with the word UPGRADE in the subject line.
When you receive a return e-mail from TEKLYNX Customer Service, it will include your UPGRADE CODE.
Run Upgrade.exe as you did in step 1, but this time enter the UPGRADE CODE in the second line of the Upgrade.exe program.
Press the UPGRADE Button in the Upgrade.exe program. Your key has now been upgraded. The application will verify the upgrade with a prompt like the one shown below.
Please place the label you received in your Upgrade materials on the key (dongle) and Register.
Please note: This procedure will only work with HASP Keys (hardware keys).
