Objective/Requirements:
A medical device manufacturer required an application with an easy-to-use interface for printing and database backup. Each print request would require multiple label formats in varying quantities.
Solution:
TEKLYNX Professional Services developed a LABELVIEW label design and printing application that acts as a front end to a Microsoft Access database. As each record is entered into the database, a print job is initiated that defines multiple label formats to label different items (trays, vials, etc.). The user enters a quantity to be printed and each label to be printed will be a ratio of the quantity entered. The software will pause between each label format and prompt the user to change label stock in the printer. LABELVIEW also provides a user interface for a lookup facility to allow the user to look up records for reprint.
