Objective/Requirements:
A manufacturer of tools and equipment required an application that would print a label to multiple printers and record the product information to a database for future printing through a lookup of the SKU and Model numbers.
Solution:
TEKLYNX Professional Services developed an automated LABELVIEW label design and printing application that prints to multiple local printers and remote printers. The remote printers can be connected over a Local Area Network or through the Internet using a URL address. The application also records data and reports it back to a Microsoft Access database for future use. The operator simply keys in or selects the SKU and model numbers to activate the printing and data capture process. The user enters the quantity and selects the designated printer(s).
Application Solution using LABELVIEW:
- Allows a data label to be printed to multiple printers
- Addresses local printers, as well as printers on a LAN or the Internet
- Records SKU and model numbers in a Microsoft Access database
