Objective/Requirements:
A health and beauty products manufacturer was looking for an application to connect multiple scanners and printers on one PC. Each scanner would be dedicated to an assigned label printer. This would allow multiple users to print different print labels from one local PC at the same time, and automatically choose and print a label format based on the product code being scanned.
Solution:
TEKLYNX Professional Services developed an automated printing application that allows up to six scanner/printer combinations. Multiple users can now simultaneously scan items. The LABELVIEW label design software running on a personal computer host automatically links to the database used by the scanners to look up the label format for the scanned product code. Multiple users now have an easy-to-use printing solution that simplifies scanner/printer combinations and leverages both hardware and software bar code assets.
