How do I troubleshoot an ODBC connection?

If you are having problems with an ODBC database connection:

• Use the component checker to verify that you are using the latest version of MDAC. You can download this utility and get instructions from Microsoft.
  
• There is a bug fix available from Microsoft for users of MDAC 2.8 who receive an "Ini File is corrupt" error message.
