How do I upgrade my LABEL MATRIX 5.x or 7.x license to LABEL MATRIX 8? |

Important Notice: Before you begin the upgrade procedure it is highly recommended that you make a back-up copy of all your label files.
The following instructions should be used to migrate your license and complete your upgrade:- Install the new LABEL MATRIX 8 software you have purchased BEFORE running the migration software. Your new LABEL MATRIX software will run for 30 days without the need to activate it. We recommend that you test the new version of software using a copy (not your back-up copy) of your label templates before continuing.
- When you are ready to activate the new software and complete the upgrade, insert the LABEL MATRIX 8 CD into the CD-ROM drive and launch the Migration Tool application. The wizard for the Migration Tool will appear.
- Follow the Migration process outlined in the screen graphics below. You will need the Upgrade Code included in your upgrade package. At the end of the process you will receive an Activation Code to activate your new software.

- Be sure to save, print or write down the Activation Code. This code is required in order to activate your new software and cannot be recovered if you lose it.
- Run your new software and activate it using your Activation Code. Please refer to your TEKLYNX software documentation for detailed instructions on activating the software.
