MaxiCode is a fixed size, public domain symbology developed by United Parcel Service of America, Inc. (UPS). MaxiCode has been adopted by AIM and ANSI as the recommended symbology for sortation and tracking.
If you would like detailed information on the MaxiCode bar code or if you want to format your own MaxiCode data, refer to the AIM symbology specification, ANSI application standard, and UPS Guide to Bar Coding with UPS booklet. These documents provide information on the UPS Bar Coded Address Label Quality Assurance program and also provide you with information on contacting a UPS account executive prior to creating your own data format.
