Introduced in 1982, Code 93 is a higher-density version of the Code 39 symbology. Code 93 is a continuous, variable-length, alphanumeric symbology that uses forty-three of the characters from Code 39, but also uses four control characters used for the full ASCII version.
Code 93 accepts the following characters:
- Numbers 0-9
- Uppercase Letters A-Z
- Space character
- Symbols - . $ / + %
