TEKLYNX debuts SENTINEL S/5 Print Pack and Data Exchange print management solutions for the North American market

MILWAUKEE – Jan. 26, 2006-TEKLYNX® International, the world’s leading developer of software products for the AIDC marketplace, today introduced SENTINEL™ S/5 Print Management software to the North American market. SENTINEL is the only automated, event-driven, data management and AIDC printing tool that processes and maps enterprise-wide data collection & label printing requests regardless of the format, technology or system.
Unique single solution for label printing and data collection
SENTINEL S/5 is a completely scalable print management solution consisting of SENTINEL Print Pack and SENTINEL Data Exchange. SENTINEL Print Pack accepts event-driven data from standalone or enterprise databases, print spoolers, Web sources, including XML fields as either SOAP or HTTP requests, and the TEKLYNX IDEAM™ data collection server.
SENTINEL’s mapper then automatically organizes data so it can be used with TEKLYNX’ CODESOFT® or LABELVIEW™ label design and printing software which enable users to easily design bar code and RFID labels and forms. The SENTINEL server distributes the labels over a LAN, WAN or the Internet to workstations supporting Windows-compatible, thermal and RFID printers. The printers can be anywhere within the enterprise, or located at partner, supplier and customer sites. This approach provides automated label processing that accepts data from multiple sources to minimize data manipulation on the host side. It also reduces programming complexity, errors and costs, and speeds implementation.
SENTINEL Data Exchange addresses the need for AIDC supply chain integration. In addition to printing labels, it can also share processed information, including commands for execution, with Web services, as well as with Oracle, Microsoft SQL and other databases. SENTINEL also includes extensive administrative reporting capabilities and security functions.
