Downloading Label Formats (Using IVR) to Datamax H-Class Printers

22 July 2007

MILWAUKEE – July 23, 2007 – TEKLYNX® International, the world’s leading developer of software products for the AIDC marketplace, today announced the ability to download label formats (using IVR) to Datamax H-Class printers.

Datamax H-Class printers support a feature called Internal Variable Replacement (IVR) that allows a label to be stored in the printer memory. When the label is recalled from memory the printer’s graphical display prompts the operator to enter information for any variable fields on the label.

The IVR feature is supported in all high-end TEKLYNX label design software products — LABEL MATRIX® PowerPro, LABELVIEW™ Gold, and CODESOFT® Enterprise. Using the software’s Job Modifier feature (a utility that allows administrators to directly modify the printer code for a label), administrators can store labels on a Datamax H-Class printer. When an IVR label is printed, the operator is prompted for the variable data, which can be inputted (usually via a USB keyboard).
